Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use reddoorbuyback.com, message us, or sell a device to Red Door BuyBack, operated by KT Electronics, 1191 E Santa Clara St, San Jose, CA 95116 ("we", "us"). By using our services you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
SMS / text messaging terms
Program: Red Door BuyBack Quotes, from (669) 629-4611.
How you opt in: you start the conversation by texting (669) 629-4611, for example from a "Text us" button on this site, a QR code, or our flyers. By texting us, you agree to receive text messages from Red Door BuyBack in reply.
What we send: conversational replies to your request, including device quotes, follow-up questions about your device, store directions, mail-in shipping labels and tracking updates, and payment confirmations. Messages may be SMS, MMS (including photos) or RCS. We do not send marketing messages unless you separately agree to receive them.
Message frequency varies based on your conversation with us.
Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan.
To opt out: reply STOP at any time. You'll receive one message confirming you've been unsubscribed, and no further messages after that. To start again, text START.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Automated replies: our first replies come from an automated AI quote assistant. A person on our team reviews conversations and can take over at any time. Just ask for a person.
Your mobile information is never sold or shared with third parties for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
Who can sell to us
You must be at least 18 years old. When you sell us a device, you confirm that you own it outright, that you have the right to sell it, and that it is not stolen, reported lost, under an unpaid financing agreement, or blacklisted. We may check device identifiers (IMEI or serial number) and may refuse any purchase.
Quotes
Quotes by text, chat or in person are estimates based on the information and photos you provide. The final price is confirmed after we inspect the device. A quote is not an obligation for either side until we both agree to the final price.
Selling in store
We pay in store by cash, Zelle, Venmo or PayPal once we've inspected the device and you've accepted the final price. California law may require us to record your ID and report the purchase to local law enforcement.
Mail-in sales
- After you accept a quote, we email you a prepaid shipping label. Use it only for the device(s) you were quoted.
- Pack the device securely. We aren't responsible for damage caused by poor packaging. Insured labels are covered by the carrier's insurance terms.
- We pay by Zelle, Venmo or PayPal within 1 business day after your package arrives and the device matches your description.
- If the device doesn't match your description, we'll text you a revised offer with photos. You can accept it, or decline and we'll return the device to you at no charge.
Your data
You are responsible for backing up your data and removing accounts (iCloud, Google and others) before selling. We wipe every device we buy, and we are not responsible for data left on a device after the sale.
Promotions
Promotional offers (for example the RD10 bonus) follow the terms printed on the offer, are limited to one per customer unless stated otherwise, have no cash value on their own, and may end at any time after their stated expiration date.

Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a transaction is limited to the amount we paid or agreed to pay you for the device involved. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Santa Clara County, California, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the effective date above when we do.
